Bill Liners

Bill Liners ~ picked up a Martin guitar at the ripe old age of 9 and learned 'Dougs Tune' by "The Dillards" to back up his older brother Eric who played banjo. Doc Watson, Tony Rice and Dan Crary have all influenced Bill's clean, definitive guitar style. Ivory Bridge™, Dick Kimmel and Co., Stoney Lonesome, The Couple Downstairs and Alaska's Grass Plus have all benefited from Bill's driving rhythm and superb leads and vocals. Bill still plays that same D18 Martin but he also loves his Brazilian Rosewood LaPlant guitar. Bill is a multiple winner of the Minnesota State Flatpicking Championship. He follows directions well and has an amazing array of skills and abilities he can apply at will to any project he is working on.

Kathe Liners

Kathe Liners ~ was introduced to Bluegrass and Bill Liners while they toured Alaska with the Bluegrass based musical, 'The Robber Bridegroom.' She fell in love with the music and Bill and they have been together ever since. Kathe's song writing skills have been widely admired in the region since the release of the Stoney Lonesome compilation CD in 1997 titled after her original tune, 'Loves Last Request'. The first Ivory Bridge™ CD release, 'Chase My Blues Away' contains several of Liners' original songs as well. Kathe provides the primary artistic vision for Ivory Bridge. She occasionally astounds the guys in the band with sumptuous meals and she loves her kitties. She plays her bass and sings with easy excellence. Her love is like music and it radiates around. She is a woman of faith and leads by example.
